Funding from the John Mather Trust enabled them to set up a new Beginners’ Group to attract and nurture new talent.

The Band gives regular concerts and supports local events and activities, including Remembrance Day parades, carol services, church services and music festivals.

Campbeltown Brass took first place at the Scottish Brass band championships in spring 2022 and were crowned overall winners. They will represent Scotland at the National finals in Cheltenham in September.

Katrina Barr of Campbeltown Brass said, “We have been so incredibly grateful for the grant money we receive from the John Mather Trust, it has made such a difference to the band and all the children that we teach.”
